What is TriCombo?
Knee pain can gradually change the way you live: shorter walks, slower stairs, fewer outings and more thought before every activity. Bioport TriCombo is a joint injection designed for the symptomatic treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Its formulation brings together three ingredients associated with joint fluid and cartilage in one pre-filled syringe.
Inside the formulation
Each ingredient has a role in the combined formulation. Together, they underpin Bioport’s approach to joint-fluid supplementation and cartilage support.
Sodium hyaluronate
The foundation of the formulation’s joint-fluid approach, intended to support lubrication and the mechanical environment of the knee.
Chondroitin sodium sulfate
Combined with hyaluronate to form the physically associated polymer network described by Bioport. It also contributes to the product’s cartilage-support rationale.
NAG
An amino sugar included for its relationship to the molecules that form the cartilage and joint-fluid environment. It completes the three-component formulation.

The smooth movement of a knee depends on more than the cartilage surfaces alone. Synovial fluid—the fluid inside the joint—helps those surfaces move against one another. Its mechanical properties are part of the environment in which the joint carries load.
Viscosupplementation is the term used for an injection intended to supplement that fluid. Rather than focusing only on the name of a product, it helps to understand the treatment aim: supporting the joint’s lubricating environment as part of a plan to manage osteoarthritis symptoms. For you, the meaningful measures are everyday ones, such as how comfortably you walk, how you manage stairs and how readily you get moving after sitting.

TriCombo brings hyaluronic acid together with chondroitin sulfate and N-acetylglucosamine, often shortened to NAG. Hyaluronic acid is the foundation of the formulation’s lubrication approach. The other two components are included for their relationship to cartilage biology and the joint’s surrounding matrix.
The manufacturer’s brochure explains this as a combined approach to joint-fluid supplementation and cartilage support. The ingredient cards in this guide provide a simple introduction; the formulation and evidence page explores the science in more detail, including why the way the ingredients associate with one another matters.

A gel’s behaviour depends on both its ingredients and the way its molecules interact. Bioport describes a physically associated network between hyaluronate and chondroitin sulfate, rather than a formulation cross-linked through chemical treatment or irradiation. This is a central feature of the product design.
In everyday language, the ingredients help form the structure of the solution together. The manufacturer’s rationale is to support stability and resistance to breakdown while retaining the properties needed for use inside a joint. That explains the design choice; the response in your own knee is assessed through symptoms, activity and follow-up.

04 · Your TriCombo guide
TriCombo is supplied in a pre-filled syringe for a single injection into the joint. This format is relevant if you want to explore an injection option without assuming that treatment must involve a course of repeated weekly appointments. Your assessment and follow-up remain important parts of the process.
Before treatment, agree the target knee, the technique, the aftercare and the activities you want to improve. Afterwards, use those goals to review progress. A useful plan connects the procedure with rehabilitation and your return to normal activity, rather than ending when the injection has been given.
05 · Your TriCombo guide
Patients often reach the point of exploring injections after trying exercise, physiotherapy or other symptom-management measures. Some are looking for additional support with everyday activity; others want a clearer understanding of the non-surgical options before considering an operation.
LCC’s assessment can bring those questions together. TriCombo, Arthrosamid, ChondroFiller and Mytocel have different compositions and treatment purposes. Your diagnosis, the pattern of cartilage damage, previous treatment and personal priorities help shape the discussion. Explore the comparison guide to see those approaches side by side.

Start with a discovery call to discuss the assessment pathway, or arrange a consultation to review your knee in detail. Bring your previous imaging and a short account of the treatments you have tried, including what helped and for how long.
The most useful starting point is the activity you want back: a comfortable commute, walking the dog, travelling or being more active with your family. The team can discuss TriCombo availability, explain the proposed plan and provide the treatment quotation before you commit.

The manufacturer describes it as a joint-fluid supplement for symptomatic knee osteoarthritis. At LCC, its role is considered alongside your symptoms, examination, imaging and treatment goals.
No. Its formulation combines hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate and N-acetylglucosamine. It is a different approach from a corticosteroid injection.
The product is presented as a single-injection treatment in a pre-filled syringe. Assessment, aftercare and review are planned separately around your needs.
Previous treatment is part of the assessment. Tell the clinician which product you received, when it was given and how your knee responded, so the next step can be planned appropriately.
Pricing is being confirmed. Contact the team for current availability and a written quotation covering the proposed treatment and follow-up.
It describes the manufacturer’s rationale for the formulation and its ingredients. The practical treatment goal is better knee comfort and function; an individual result or cartilage regrowth cannot be guaranteed.
